Our Summer Camp is a great way for energetic kids to safely channel their energy when they are out of school. Parents have the comfort of knowing that even in the summer their children are continuing to learn in a safe and stimulating environment. Your child can spend his or her summer enjoying a variety of martial arts, and non-martial arts related activities, games, and field trips.
We understand that working parents need their children supervised during regular business hours on a year-round basis. Non-working parents still want their children to enjoy a full and fun summer experience, and have the opportunity to be with other children their same age. The objective is to create a fun and safe experience every day of the summer and encourage children to build good relationships, learn martial arts, and demonstrate responsibility by following directions and playing safe. Parents can concentrate on making the best use of their time with the peace of mind that their children are having fun, making good use of their time, and staying healthy from the various forms of exercise they have the opportunity to enjoy.
Fitness Instruction and Presidential Awards
Healthy children need a balance between exercise and good nutrition. The best time to begin healthy exercise and eating habits is sooner rather than later. Obesity in children is ever increasing in the United States. We are part of the grass roots movement to help the children in our community enjoy healthier lifestyles by showing them how much fun exercise can be, and appreciate the importance of good nutritional habits.
All children who are in camp for 6 weeks or more will automatically be enrolled in The President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition. At the end of camp the appropriate level awards will be distributed free of charge. There is a distinguished award for everyone. An active lifestyle and doing your best is what counts!
Every parent realizes the importance of a good core value system. Our camp focuses on five different Character Education themes. Each theme lasts two weeks.
Martial Arts Instruction is Included for FREE!
That’s right! Martial arts classes are included for FREE! Our campers will get to take martial arts classes four days per week. They will be issued an official uniform and will also have the opportunity to actually earn their first belt ranking if they participate for 6 weeks or more. In addition to the physical self defense skills they will learn, they will also gain a much deeper understanding and appreciation why discipline, courtesy, and respect is essential for good relationships and success in life.
Exciting Adventures!
How could we call it Super Summer Camp if there weren’t exciting adventures? Children get to go on offsite field trips almost every day of the summer. Where do we go? Here are just a few:
- Outdoor hiking
- Movies theaters
- 3 different county parks
- Swimming (Swimming is offered one day every week)
- Baseball games
- Bowling
- Fishing
- Basketball
- Trip to the local library
- Etc. You get the idea! Fun!
Arts and Crafts
Arts and crafts provide a relaxing opportunity to kids to relax, enjoy quiet time, and make friends. Children are divided into age appropriate groups and assisted with their projects. You will be surprised when your child brings home his/her crazy and amazing “Works of Art”!
Fun and Games!
Structured games are a big part of our camp. While kids are busy having fun they also learn about teamwork and relationship building. In addition to fun games they will also get to learn special agility drills that we use in martial arts to help them develop better coordination and balance. It’s a blast!
